چکیده
Few studies had demonstrated the interaction of phlorotannins and polysaccharides from algae on microbial diversity growth probiotic bacteria early stages colonic fermentation. Silvetia compresssa hydroethanolic extract rich in its isolated fraction enabled proliferation Bifidobacterium Lactobacillus increased total short-chain fatty acids synthesis compared to a negative control. Eckstolonol, dieckol acacetin derivative were depleted after eight hours vitro After 48 h fermentation, showed high levels acetic (104.82 µmol g?1 wet feces) propionic (78.58 feces), as well an increase (log10 6.77 CFU 4.25 growth. These results no significant difference with inulin (p > 0.05), suggesting potential improve human gut microbiota.

Effects of Commercial Apple Varieties on Human Gut Microbiota Composition and Metabolic Output Using an In Vitro Colonic Model
Apples are a rich source of polyphenols and fiber. A major proportion of apple polyphenols escape absorption in the small intestine and together with non-digestible polysaccharides reach the colon, where they can serve as substrates for bacterial fermentation. Animal studies suggest a synergistic interaction between apple polyphenols and the soluble fiber pectin; however, the effects of whole a...

Comparative study on the in vitro effects of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and seaweed alginates on human gut microbiota
Alginates pertain to organic polysaccharides that have been extensively used in food- and medicine-related industries. The present study obtained alginates from an alginate overproducing Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAO1 mutant by screening transposon mutagenesis libraries. The interaction between bacterial and seaweed alginates and gut microbiota were further studied by using an in vitro batch ferme...
